Taco Bell Beefy Fritos Burrito Review:

Price Paid: $1.00 | Company: Taco Bell
You’ve seen the commercials, this burrito is back on their cravings menu at just a buck a piece. But is it grub worthy? How does it measure up in terms of taste and value? Read on to find out.

Look:
There is a lot of food in this burrito. The inside of the burrito doesn’t look half bad as you can see from the third picture. The ingredients look even throughout. Funny enough, when you pull up to the window and get your bag it’s going to feel like a sack of bricks. I refer to these burritos as wet diapers. “Hey darling, pass me one of those wet diapers if you would be so kind.” She knows what I am talking about and you might too if you pick these up for lunch/dinner. Or you might think I am sick. Either way, I am in agreement with you.

  • Flour tortilla
  • Nacho cheese sauce
  • Beef (seasoned)
  • Latin rice
  • Fritos

Taste (6.6/10):
If you like Fritos you might enjoy this. Personally, I am not a fan of them in a burrito with cheese, beef, and rice. It just adds a weird texture I wasn’t expecting, plus it tastes a little repugnant for me. The rice dulls everything down… I found myself eating around the rice and Fritos. I’ve had better burritos in my day, but, like I said above, you might enjoy this if you like Fritos. On the flip side, the nacho cheese sauce compliments the beef really well. It’s loaded with ingredients that mostly work together. I give it a “meh” on our taste scale.

Value (8.7/10):
Cheap to make and cheap to consume the Taco Bell Fritos burrito is an all around good deal if you’re strapped for cash. It has a decent amount of fill factor for your tummy. The quality of the ingredients are not the best but at this price, what do you expect?

430 calories (33.1 calories per gram of protein). The fat content of this burrito isn’t bad compared to the calories. You can further reduce the fat and calories by opting out of the nacho cheese sauce. However, the protein to calorie ratio is pretty bad, so if you’re looking for protein, consider something else. The only two good options on their cravings menu would be their mini chicken quesadilla (8.1/10) and/or mini beef quesadilla (8.15).
